Thioglycollate Broth is used for the sterility testing of a variety of samples as well as in qualitative procedures for the cultivation of fastidious and nonfastidious organisms of both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.Light amber, slightly opalescent, 20% or less of upper layer may be medium pink. After shaking solution becomes pink throughout.
