XLD Agar Plates

This medium was introduced to improve the recovery and recognition of Shigella species and has proved to be an excellent medium for Salmonella species. The medium is low in nutrients and relies on a small amount of sodium desoxycholate for selectivity.Light rose, clear or very slightly opalescent.
